A.I.M. OFFERS free art classes
taught by uw-stout pre-service teachers

uw-stout pre-service teachers INSTRUCT ART CLASSES IN regional schools and COMMUNITies TO GAIN hands-on TEACHING EXPERIENCE, thereby improving THEIR COMPETENCE AND CONFIDENCE IN TEACHING.

Community members gain access to free arts programming taught by pre-service teachers in education programs at UW-Stout.

 

Does your child enjoy drawing, painting, and creating things?  Arts Integration Menomonie (A.I.M) offers FREE ONLINE ART CLASSES! 

As part of A.I.M.'s P.A.I.N.T. program (Program for Arts Integration for New Teachers), UW-Stout students who are learning to become teachers gain hands-on teaching experiences in arts-integrated community classes.  We welcome community members in Menomonie and the regional area to participate free of charge!

* Due to the virtual format and limited supply kits, Children’s Art Club and Canvas Creations programs are accepting a limited number of participants, and REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. if a session fills, you will be notified and automatically be added to the wait list.

CHILDREN’S ART CLUB (C.A.C.)

art education majors teach ART CLASSES to KIDS (grades K-8) every tuesday, 6-7PM, in heritage all at uw-stout!

Children’s Art Club offers free art classes to children in grades K-8 on Tuesday evenings (6-7pm) during UW-Stout’s academic calendar.

A service learning program based out of the Art Education program at UW-Stout, C.A.C. represents a community partnership with the university, as pre-service teachers gain hands-on teaching experience with children in the regional community engaging in visual arts exploration.

No registration is required.

"ART U” - 4h virtual ART CAMP

VIRTUAL ART CLASSES FOR grades k-2, 3-4, 5-6, & 7-12 in Chippewa, Dunn, and Eau Claire county

ART-U camp is a collaboration between A.I.M. at UW-Stout and Chippewa, Dunn and Eau Claire 4-H programs.  Art classes are taught via Zoom by University of Wisconsin Stout art education students in age appropriate sections. Specialty art supplies/tools will be provided for pick up/delivery before the start of the program. 6 classes are dedicated to virtual arts learning and making. You do not need to be in 4-H to enroll.

"CANVAS CREATIONS" parent-child painting classes!

FREE CANVAS PAINTING CLASSES FOR FAMILIES!

“Canvas Creations” is an art class that is designed for families (adults and children) to have time together for creative fun! In this step-by-step painting class, each family member comes away with a completed painting after 75 minutes. Limited enrollment. Recommended for children ages 8 and up.


Art programs for Inmates at the County Jail

VISUAL ARTS CLASSES AT THE DUNN COUNTY JAIL
MENOMONIE, WI

The arts provide a safe and expressive outlet for everyone. Through AIM’s “Art in Jail” program, inmates at the Dunn County Jail receive formal visual arts classes taught by university students who are practicing arts integration as part of the process of becoming teachers. Instructed by UW-Stout’s pre-service teachers, inmates explore creative media and processes to increase their artistic skills, express themselves, and allow for personal growth and discovery.
